Note: The papers, books, and abstracts in this database reflect my personal interests and their selection is completely arbitrary. Selected citations from the earliest years of medical informatics (1950's and 1960's) are included to provide "deep background," and most are -- by necessity -- from the general medical literature rather than the pediatric literature. Citations from the 1970's and later are more likely to be focused directly on the use of computers in newborn intensive care. References to papers on other more-or-less related topics such as Internet-based medical applications, medical education, and social/ethical issues are also included. Your suggestions for additional citations are welcomed.
