Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and the University of Connecticut are seeking two neonatologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level for full time positions in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. One is for the clinical track, and the second position is specifically for the research track. Our division supports a 32 bed Level IV NICU located in Hartford, CT and a 40 bed Level III NICU in Farmington, CT, as well as a growing number of NICUs in the community. These positions would be based primarily at our level III and Level IV Connecticut Children’s Medical Center NICUs.

The Division of Neonatology currently consists of faculty members nationally recognized in basic, clinical, quality, patient safety, and epidemiologic research. This position would have an expectation of excellent clinical care, in combination with academic/scholarly work including but not limited to, education, quality improvement, programmatic development, research, service, or advocacy. Our current research focuses are Inflammation/Immunology, Gut Microbiome, NEC, Nutrition/human milk science, and neuroscience/neuroprotection.

Connecticut Children’s Medical Center faculty have their academic appointments through the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. As a division member you would have access to expansive resources and available research collaborations with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, The University of Connecticut School of Medicine, University of Connecticut Storrs, Jackson Laboratories as well as other academic partners.

Candidates must have an M.D., or D.O. degree, be board eligible or certified in Pediatrics and/or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine as appropriate. Academic title at the University of Connecticut will be commensurate with academic credentials.
