Neonatology Opportunity

Bozeman Health seeks a strong, proven clinical Neonatologist. This position is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced physician to provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve the clinical, quality and financial objectives. There is very strong growth potential and developing need for additional services, and new neonatal unit (NICU) is in the plans and one of the roles for the neonatologist will be to help develop it.

Bozeman Health delivers more than 1,300 babies each year and offers complete family-focused care. Our Neonatology Program would be brand new and this great opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help develop the program alongside our Maternal Fetal Medicine and Pediatric physicians. This is a collaborative, team-based approach to care using evidence-based principles of health care.

The ideal candidate will possess Neonatology experience and preferable experience in a leadership role in a NICU and strong skills in developing policy and procedure. Board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required. This is a full-time position with shared clinical and administrative responsibilities and will include clinical time.

Hospital facts:

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is an 86-bed facility, with 7 ORs, 8 ICU beds, 8 progressive care unit beds, and 25 ED beds. The ED sees approximately 27,500 visits per year.

• Level 2 Nursery

• Maternal Newborn Nursing staff where ranked by Gallup with a satisfaction score or 4.53 on 5 on the scale which are some of the highest in the country.

• Ob only scrub tech to help expedite C-sections.

• Onsite Breast feeding Educator and Women’s Physical Therapist

• 7 ORs with one dedicated C-section OR

The hospital has level III ACS Trauma Center designation and is Accredited. There are approximately 200 physicians on the medical staff representing a broad spectrum of both medical and surgical specialties.

Compensation and benefits:

This is a hospital-employed salaried position, with additional compensation for PA/NP supervision, a quality incentive bonus and relocation expense assistance. The position also includes a comprehensive benefit package including: Relocation up to 10K and a sign-on bonus available, health, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, paid malpractice, and $3500 for CME and paid medical licensing/ABIM dues/DEA expenses.
