We are currently recruiting for the following position for Wilmington, North Carolina:


Coastal Children Services (CCS) is recruiting a full-time board certified/eligible neonatologist to join our team of 7 neonatologists and 11 neonatal nurse practitioners. We provide neonatology services in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Betty H. Cameron Women and Children? Hospital at New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC), as well as in 3 surrounding Level II NICU? in medical facilities throughout southeastern North Carolina. Our pediatric team also includes pediatric intensivists, pediatric hospitalists, pediatric/family nurse practitioners and pediatric subspecialists in gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology and pulmonology.

NHRMC is a 628-bed, major referral hospital for southeastern North Carolina with over 4000 deliveries per year and over 640 annual admissions to the NICU. The Betty H. Cameron Women? and Children? Hospital is a 45-bed single-patient room referral NICU which also includes a High Risk Antepartum, Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby Unit, as well as a 17 bed Inpatient Pediatric Unit and a 6 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU

Opportunities to participate in quality improvement, research and education are on-going. Our team:

Actively engages the Perinatal Quality Collaborative of North Carolina (PQCNC) and the Vermont Oxford Network (VON)

Participates in multiple clinical research trials related to neonatology/pediatrics

Contributes to workforce development through teaching physician residents and medical students from various programs
