We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and hardworking neonatologist to join our group at the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children located in downtown Orlando. Come and join an exciting team of 17 neonatologists, 4 Neonatal Hospitalists and 19 neonatal nurse practitioners. We recently expanded our NICU into a newly built, beautiful, state-of-the-art facility in 2017.

We currently have 102 neonatal beds at Florida Hospital for Children. We also have three other Level II NICUís in hospitals around the Orlando area, which are staffed by our own Neonatologists, who are part of the same medical group. We have 150 total neonatal beds in our system.

Our regional network includes an OB delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. Over the last couple of years, we have expanded our Maternal Fetal Medicine program and Congenital Heart surgery program and have built a pediatric and neonatal ECMO program. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists. We are very active in Quality Improvement programs and clinical research, with several multi-center extramurally funded research projects. We also have a very active Neonatal simulation program.

We have an independent General Pediatric Residency programs. Our residents rotate through the NICU. We take an active participation in their training and education.

Requirements: The new physician joining the group should be board certified in pediatrics and board certified or board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Experience post fellowship is preferred but not essential. Interest and demonstrated experience in clinical research, Quality Improvement projects and ECMO will be desirable attributes.

This is an employment opportunity through Florida Hospital Medical Group, a 500+ physician, multi-specialty organization. FHMG is a sister organization of Florida Hospital and is under our parent company, Adventist Health System. This model offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package that includes occurrence-based malpractice coverage, health insurance for the physician and his/her family, relocation expenses, paid leave days, a generous 403b retirement plan, CME days and a CME allowance. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.

The downtown area consists of fantastic neighborhoods, parks, lakes and restaurants. Live within one hour of both the east and west coasts of Florida.
