|Position ||Neonatology Full-Time-Staff |
|Credentials ||MD, Neonatology BC |
|Starting Date ||ASAP |
A well-known women’s hospital in a thriving Midwest river city is seeking a new Medical Director of Neonatology to join one of the top clinical practices in the Midwest. The hospital is jointly owned with a group of obstetricians/gynecologists and other physician specialists and is the only hospital dedicated solely to serving the health care needs of women and infants in the Tri-State area. The 31-bed, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is staffed with neonatologists, neonatal nurses, and respiratory therapists. The new Medical Director will join a small and collegial team of 5 neonatologists in the third largest delivery center in the state and one of the Top 3 Best Places to Work, as named by Modern Healthcare Magazine. The position offers an exceptional schedule, compensation above the 75th percentile and an academic appointment at a prestigious, nationally-ranked academic medical center.
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced clinician who wants to live outside of a hustling major-metro area, while practicing world-class neonatology. The area includes a number of entertainment venues, a variety of annual festivals, museums and historical sites, a zoo, and a plethora of sports, courtesy of the local universities. There are also 65 parks and a 42-mile bicycle and pedestrian trail that encircles the city. The city offers a low cost of living, a low crime rate, excellent healthcare and public and private schools.
