We are currently interviewing candidates to become Medical Director of a thriving Level III Community Hospital NICU. The incoming Medical Director will be employed by, and have an academic appointment at one of the top programs in the country (U.S. News and World Report). The need is due to the current Medical Director’s recent retirement.
The neonatology program is growing. With over 4000 Births at the hospital, the NICU regularly runs an Average Daily Census in the Twenties. The unit accepts all gestational ages and is well-resourced…employing the use of HFOV, Nitric and the intention is to add cooling in the near future.
A member of VON, there are significant active QI projects and the intention is to grow the QI program even further over the next 5 years.
Our ideal candidate is a relationship builder, has excellent clinical skills and has shown demonstrable leadership ability or can articulate why they are ready for the step of becoming a Medical Director of a top NICU. The team benefits from highly collegial relationships between the neonatologists and their 5 NNP’s, and has seen little attrition.
The locale is a popular tourist destination located within easy driving distance of Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Delaware beaches and the Jersey shore. The local topography ranges from metro to bucolic.
